Initial Thoughts: The packaging is gorgeous. It’s minimal, it’s chic. This line is branded for unisex usage, so the color scheme actually borders more on the traditional “masculine” side. It has a dark green box and a hefty dark green jar. The glass jar is actually pretty cool — it is black in certain light and a shimmery emerald in others. It definitely felt like it was a premium product.
Opening up the jar, you instantly get hit with this amazing aroma that is reminiscent of fall. It’s cinnamon-y, spiced, and truly everything nice. The texture is a jelly-like consistency, almost like applesauce. Honestly, if I didn’t know it were a face mask, I would have thought it would make a delicious spread on a slice of toast!
Usage: Applying the product was a breeze. It glided on so easily. You really do feel the ground up apricot seeds. And yes, normally I wouldn’t recommend using fruit seeds as a physical exfoliant. However, since this is a mask, rather than a scrub, it is not nearly as intense. Therefore, it is less likely to cause the tears in your skin that would make it eventually become saggy. I liked this added layer of texture on the mask because it made it so much more of an interesting feeling to put on.
Effects: This mask is supposed to give you more radiant, softer skin. I definitely did notice the radiance. My skin was glowing after (even before I put on a moisturizer). It was definitely not dehydrated at all, which I find that these types of masks will do to me sometimes. There was no irritation, even though it had a lot of fragrances and mixtures of things in it. I think my skin was pretty happy with the ingredients, which were mostly derived from fruits and seeds.
Final Thoughts: I loved how the product was consistent throughout: an earthy renewal mask. From the minute you see the package to when you rinse off the mask, it feels like an earth-inspired mask, from the green hues to the gorgeous scent of the mask. And the fact that it included so many different fruits really speaks to the original inspiration of the pulp of an apple fruit. Moreover, I was very happy that this mask delivered the brightening, glowy results that it had promised. Give it a try here!
